2022 Swim England Fees
It's that time of year again - when Swim England Fees are due. If you swim with the club, membership of Swim England is mandatory. Year 2022 fees are:
- Category 1: £16.35
- Category 2: £35.15
If you plan to compete in open competitions you'll need Category 2, otherwise Category 1.
Fees should be paid now, which you can pay either on the door at any swim session or directly into the Northern Wave bank account.
COVID-19 remains a risk
It is still possible to catch and spread COVID-19, even if you are fully vaccinated. While no situation is risk-free, easy and effective actions can be taken to protect yourself and others around you.
At present on Tuesday evening both Manchester Triathlon Club and Northern Wave use the shallow end of the pool to enter and exit the pool. This means that there are lots of people mingling at the end of the pool and in the changing rooms around 8pm. In order to limit the amount of close contact with other people, our Tuesday sessions will now start at the deep end of the pool.
To further help mitigate any risks please:
- Wear a face covering
- Continue to arrive ‘swim ready’
- Do not enter the pool hall before 7.55pm
- Congregate at the deep end of the pool

Christmas Party
At the beginning of December, we were able to get together for the Northern Wave Christmas party. A good time was had by all at Coffee Cranks in Alexandra Park. Everyone’s combined efforts in contributing to the meal proved a real success and with an array of tasty treats and a mountain of mince pies we were definitely well fed. As has become tradition at these events the annual awards were presented plus the new Gill Wright Award. The evening was rounded off with a keen few strutting their stuff on the dance floor. What more could you want for an evening of festive fun.
